Our Origin Story
Several months ago, Robin and I met Craig on the streets of Banning. Craig is unhoused, and his loyal companion is a dog named Felony—a sweet pup who, despite tough circumstances, radiates love and trust. Craig has a spiked mohawk, and Felony is always by his side.
It broke Robin’s heart to see a dog struggling without the basics: food, water, comfort. We immediately got Felony a bag of food, a water bowl, and a toy. We also gave Craig a backpack and money for a warm meal. That small moment of kindness turned into something bigger.
Since that day, we’ve run into Craig and Felony many times, and each time we’re reminded why we do this. That first encounter planted the seed for what would become Furry Friend Advocates—a movement to bring help, hope, and humanity to the homeless and their pets.
No one should be forgotten. Not the person. Not the dog.
